  • Due Dune | Dune Bianche Vini

Due Dune “Due Dune” wines are produced in collaboration with Marisa Mastrosimone, a wine specialist with years of experience in the gourmet catering sector. We come both from the same town and we knew each other as kids. We met up as adults in Umbria, discovering that we the same passion for wine. Producing wine together is the natural consequence of our meeting. Our aim is to pay homage to Umbria mantaining the character of our homeland. Our production is currently around 10,000 bottles. The vineyards (2 ha plus 0.5 ha planted in 2024) are located in the hills of the Umbrian Valley (Cannara - PG) and are managed entirely by us. We want to combine tradition, technique and life experiences within the wines, which can undergo longer or shorter macerations depending on the vintage. Fining is carried out both in steel and above all in exhausted wood barrels. Spontaneous fermentations are carried out in the cellar without filtration, clarification and without the addition of chemical adjuvants. We fertilized the vineyards with manure. Considering the climate and the amount of rainfall during the year, we use only copper, sulfur and zeolite. wines

  • Jackson | Dune Bianche Vini

JACKSON Dune Bianche ft Colbacco - Malvasia + Sangiovese + Syrah Harvest 2022 Jackson is an artistic wine made in collaboration with the friends of Colbacco. It’s an homage to Jackson Pollock. The wine is like a canvas made with a blend of Syrah (Colbacco vineyards), Malvasia Bianca from Basilicata and Sangiovese (Dune Bianche vineyards). Syrah has 2 days of maceration and is aged in steel for approximately 10 months. The Malvasia has approximately 4 months of maceration in steel while the Sangiovese has a maceration of 15 days and refinement in exhausted oak barrels. The aim was to stain the opulent part of the syrah by trying to give a more contemporary tone to the wine. The labels are made with the dripping technique to recall the technique of the american painter, giving life to a single canvas of 1480 bottles. • About me | Dune Bianche Vini

ABOUT ME Dune Bianche was born between 2019 and 2020 in Basilicata, my homeland.I’m an oenologist and I studied and worked in Tuscany, Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia. After some years I decided to abandon the world of conventional wine with the aim of producing artisanal wines free to tell stories and territories. My work is divided between Basilicata and Umbria, the region where I live and vinify all the grapes. The Umbrian wines, made with my friend and right-hand man Marisa Mastrosimone, are released under the name “Due Dune”. My journey into the world of wine began early, both for study reasons and above all for a family tradition that allowed me to experience the agricultural world from an early age. The technical training allowed me to understand the correct path to take, moving away from a world in which I didn't feel truly free. For this reason, in 2019 I definitively abandon the world of conventional wine. I went back to Basilicata and started to make natural wine. My town is surrounded by the valley of the gullies, those white dunes from which I took inspiration to give the name to my company. In this land where wine has always been made but where natural wine has never crossed the threshold of the small cellars or farmers' "caves", I try to go against industrial wine that has affected craftsmanship and biodiversity. With my project I try in some way to give value to the territory and to native varieties which have been mistakenly abandoned. In my wines, around 3000 bottles, I want to combine tradition, technique and life experiences. I strongly believe in macerations and in the use of exhausted wood barrels of various sizes and types. Spontaneous fermentations are carried out in the cellar without filtration, clarification and without the addition of chemical adjuvants. In the vineyards, fertilized with manure, only copper, sulfur and zeolite are used, the minimum possible considering the climate and the amount of rainfall during the year. wines
